My name is Bo Allaire M.D. I joined with Contemporary Medicine Associates this year and am honored to be a part of a great practice. I look forward to providing general medical care along with training with Dr. Degner in addiction medicine.

To give some background about myself:

I was born and raised in Northwest Houston. In the 9th grade, I broke my leg and was introduced to medicine. While playing football at Cyfalls High School, I also started volunteering at Memorial City Memorial Hermann Hospital from 1997-2000. I then majored in Biology with a minors in Chemistry at University of Houston and graduated in 2004 as valedictorian. I attended medical school at Baylor College of Medicine in the Houston Medical Center. During this period, my focus on studying, coupled with midnight snacks, overshadowed my exercising habits and I reached 300 pounds. I realized my patients were less likely to take my advice of eating healthy and exercising when I myself was not following these principles. So in between Medical School and Residency, I dedicated myself to a healthier, more balanced lifestyle and lost 100 pounds. My struggles with weight have given me a greater appreciation and understanding for my patients who deal with not only obesity, but any chronic disease for that matter. Family Medicine provides me with the opportunity to establish a continuity of care with my patients, which is vital to one's health. Having been there myself, I know how difficult it is just to go to the doctor. For that reason, my staff and I have taken extra steps to make your visit as accommodating as possible. Please don't hesitate to call if you are ever sick with a cold or even if you are just looking for a new medical home, we are here to help.
